Thanksgiving on the Farm

I guess this is becoming a tradition (if we've done it two years in a row, is that a tradition yet?)
My parents have hay bales out in their side field and the kids absolutely love playing on them - we barely saw them. Isaac and his cousin Abbie had such a great time out there and were eager to pose for all of my pictures!

Mandisa Concert

I was able to attend a Christmas concert with a friend that we had served with on the mission field. Mandisa and Matthew West both sang. It was such a great time of worship and listening to beautiful Christmas music. I think my favorite song was "Christmas Makes Me Cry." Praise the Lord for Godly musicians seeking to make an impact in the world.

Headed out to church on a beautiful fall day! We are so thankful for our three boys!

Final Game of the Season

The parents played the kids - Jamey says he was number one but they sort of "let" the 2nd graders win. It's sort of intimidating being out there with a bunch of adults, but the kids held their own. Jamey just about sprained his ankle running after one of the kids!

Flag Football

All three boys played Upwards Flag Football at a church in Prattville - it was a great experience for each of them. Josiah & Isaac were able to play on the same team, so they loved being able to practice together. Nathaniel got the hang of the game by the end of the season and enjoyed playing with some friends from church.

Why I'll never go to the barn again

While we were on the cruise, the boys enjoyed some great times with their Yia Yia and Papa on the farm. This is the 7 foot snake skin they found in the barn where they had been playing all week. They wanted to bring it home in the van but were somehow outvoted by Mom!

Our Cruise to Mexico

This was quite an adventure in all respects - we set sail from Mobile with our dear friends the Jones right after Hurricane Ike passed through the Gulf. In spite of rough waters & some "unusual" guests we laughed a lot & had a great time.
