Our Goal
"Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me..." Jeremiah 9:23-24
We are a family of five seeking to serve the Lord wherever He places us in this great adventure of life. We have been blessed to serve in some awesome places and meet some phenomenal people who have forever impacted our lives.
Well, Well, Well. Sunday was a great and terrible day. It is always a joy and privilege to serve as a pastor and to get to preach. However, Sunday was different. It was my LAST Sunday as pastor. It was my LAST sermon as pastor. It was my last chance to share my heart. I was led to the passage that I preached when I was in view of a call 5 years ago. The theme is the same now. . . follow Jesus. I had a big lump in my throat most of the day and really felt like crying. Then came Sunday night. Oh my word, what fun. There was people and food everywhere. Just like a good Baptist meeting. Our friends sent us off in style. I would be lying if I said that I didn't struggle. I really didn't want to have to say so long to so many. The tears could not be stopped and as I embraced so many, my voice cracked, my heart hurt But there was also great laughter. You can see the highlight of the evening. This is what I will look like in 20 years!?! My thanks to all that made Sunday bearable. Thanks to all of you that made our ministry at Concord so wonderful. Thank you for loving us. Thank you.
We will miss hearing you preach here at Concord Baptist. The way you interpreted the Bible was very easily understood. We will miss your family dearly and we hope to keep up on the blog. Best wishes to you and your family on your many journeys.
